Moses Wallace, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Moses Wallace, Sr., age 94, will be conducted on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Bush River Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Wallace passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Pinkney Wallace and the late Flora Bell Wallace.  He was a faithful member of Bush River Baptist Church.  He was also a member of  the Sons of Aide Lodge #6, Masonic Lodge #410 and Helena Brotherhood Society.

Mr. Wallace was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Scurry Wallace.

Surviving are two daughters,  Vanessa Wallace of Laurens, SC; Margaret W. Jones of Greenwood, SC; sons, Moses Wallace, Jr. of Newberry, SC; James Wallace of Silverstreet, SC; Charles Wallace (Cynthia) of Newberry, SC; Henry Lee Wallace of Spartanburg, SC; brother, William Barnes of Ohio; one grandchild reared in the home, Ralph Wallace; twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, fifty great-great grandchildren, thirty great-great-great grandchildren, one aunt, one daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law, one sister-in-law, Daisy Scurry; other relatives and friends.
