Michael Leonel Luis-Wise

Michael Leonal Luis-Wise, age 12, born in Newberry County, SC to Candice Wise and Leonel Luis-Dominguez, died peacefully in his sleep on February 24, 2021 in his home.

Michael was a student at Mid-Carolina Middle School, in which he excelled academically and was apart of the gifted and talented program. Michael had a love for music and had begun to play the trumpet and piano. He loved video games, which gave him opportunity to interact with his beloved friends. He also loved swimming, traveling, writing and most of all spending time with his family. Michael had an unwavering faith and dedicated his life to serving Christ.   Michael was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where he was a member of the Youth Choir and the Youth Usher Board.  Michael was a member of Boy Scout Pack 76 and the Mid-Carolina Little League Baseball team.

Michael was predeceased by his maternal great-grandfather, Norman Suber and paternal great-grandfather, Clarence Wise.

Surviving are his mother, Candice Wise; father, Leonel Luis-Domiguez; maternal grandmother, Pamela Suber Stover (Sterling), paternal grandfather, Robert Wise; Maternal great-grandmother, Lizzie Suber; paternal great-grandmother Jessie Mae Wise; aunts, Courtney Wise and Tiffany Shelton (Joey), five great-aunts, five great-uncles and numerous cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Gethsemane Baptist Church.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing. A public viewing will be Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 3:00 PM -7:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.
