Mattie Pearl (Davis) Cromer

Mrs. Mattie Pearl Davis Cromer passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

She was born in Newberry County on July 25, 1940 to the late Lillie Mae Redfield and the late Henry Davis, Sr.  She was a member of New Enoree Baptist Church and worked for 25 years at  Louis Rich better known as the "The Turkey Plant" .

Mrs. Cromer was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, John Albert Cromer, daughter, Marcia Denise Davis, sons, Bennie Lee Mitchell, Ezell Cromer and Johnny Cromer, sisters, Lynette Caldwell, Susan Hardy and Loretta Davis, father-in-law, Willie Roland Cromer, sister-in-law, Essie Curry and brother-in-law, Willie Curry.

Surviving are children, JoEllen Sweeney (Doug) of Simpsonville, SC, Betty Sims and Judy Sanders (Bobby)  of Newberry, SC, Tammy Ford (Patrick) of Ridgeway, SC, Alberta Saddler (Boyd) and John Albert Cromer of Newberry, SC, Catherine Cromer of Columbia, SC, Marcia Lynn Cromer and Willie (Carrie Mae) Cromer of Newberry, SC and John Beverly Mitchell of Greenville, SC;sisters, Debra Eichelberger (Wayne) and Marion Harrison; brothers, Michael Redfield, Randy Redfield, Henry (Cinderella) Davis, Jr., Michael (Ruby) Davis, Terry Davis, Eugene Davis, Roy Redfield, Donnie Redfield and Timothy Wilson, 29 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Newberry Memorial Gardens.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Viewing will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.
