Mr. Marshall Caldwell entered the gates of Heaven on 1/15/2021 at the age of 71.

Marshall Caldwell was born on May 8, 1949 in Newberry, SC to the late Lewis Calvin Caldwell and late Louise Missouri Marshall Caldwell. He graduated from Gallman High School and entered the family logging business, Caldwell & Sons Logging.  Marshall was the lead singer of a local band, Swing Kings, where he performed James Brown and Motown hits.  Through dedication and hard work, he started his own business, Caldwell Logging, Inc, in which he successfully led for several years.

Marshall married Lynette Faye Davis in 1969 and that was the beginning of a 50yr marriage that withstood the test of time.  They welcomed 3 children, Davida, Marshall, and Tremelle, into their home and began establishing a solid foundation based on hard work, integrity, and family.  He served as a father figure for many and treated them like his own.  Everybody knew Marshall for his kind heart, loving personality, and dedication to his family.  He always had a good joke to share or words of comfort in times of need.  Marshall loved to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers, go fishing, complete crossword puzzles, and watch mystery TV series.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his 7 grandchildren.  Marshall was a servant of the Lord and was member of New Enoree Baptist Church.

Marshall is survived by his children; Davida (Trani) Price of Chapin, SC, sons Marshall (Leah) Caldwell of Newberry, SC, and Tremelle (Edisa) Caldwell of Hickory, NC; siblings, Dorothy Greeley of Winston Salem, NC, Geraldine (Charles) Miller, James Lewis (Georgia Mae) Caldwell of Newberry, SC; Sammy Ray Caldwell of Columbia,, SC; grandchildren, Nicholas Price, Taylyn Price, Tristyn Price, Suzana Pruitt, Hayden Caldwell, Holden Caldwell, and Harrison Caldwell, and a host of extended family members.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Lynette Faye Caldwell and sisters, Mary Caldwell Williamson of Florence, SC and Barbara Jean Elkins of Newberry.
