Maggie Crooks Obituary

Mrs. Maggie Baxter Crooks was born April 6, 1937 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Willie L. (Bubba) Baxter, Sr. and the late Clara Wicker Baxter. She passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Mrs. Crooks loved everyone and mostly her father Jehovah God and dedicated her life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1970. She was a former employee of Louis Rich.

Mrs. Crooks was predeceased by a son John Henry Crooks, sister, Mary Baxter McCall and a nephew, Charles Baxter.

She is survived by a daughter, Clara M. Dawkins of Newberry, SC; son, Raymond Baxter of Atlanta, GA, Eddie Crooks of Columbia, SC and Willie Crooks of Newberry, SC; brother, Willie L. (Roy Lee) Baxter, Jr. of Newberry, SC; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a number of friends and other relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
