Lynette Faye (Davis) Caldwell

Mrs. Lynette Faye Caldwell gained her wings on January 10, 2021 at the age of 67.

Lynette Faye Davis was born on May 30, 1953 in Newberry, SC to the late Henry Washington Davis and late Margaret Louise Davenport Davis.

She was a servant of the Lord and was a member of New Enoree Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a member of the usher board. She graduated from Newberry High School. She married Marshall Caldwell in 1969 and started building their life together in Newberry, SC.  They welcomed 3 children into their home, Davida, Marshall, and Tremelle, teaching each one of them about the importance of faith, family, and giving. 

She was a dedicated wife to Marshall for 50 years and passionate mother to her children.  If you knew Lynette, you knew she never met a stranger and always offered herself to uplift others.  She had a tremendous impact on people because of her spirit and peaceful demeanor and was so loved and she loved unconditionally.  She loved everyone and so many referred to her as Mom. 

She is preceded in death by sisters, Susan Davis Thompson and Loretta Davis Huguenin, of Newberry, SC and a brother, Henry Davis of Clinton, SC.

Lynette is survived by her husband, Marshall Caldwell; children, Davida (Trani) Price of Chapin, SC, Marshall (Leah) Caldwell of Newberry, SC, and Tremelle (Edisa) Caldwell of Hickory, NC; siblings, Debra (Wayne) Eichelberger, Pearl Davis, Eugene Davis, Henry (Cinderella) Davis, Michael (Ruby) Davis, and Terry Davis, all of Newberry, SC, and Marion Davis  Harrison of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Nicholas Price, Taylyn Price, Tristyn Price, Suzana Pruitt, Hayden Caldwell, Holden Caldwell, and Harrison Caldwell, and a host of extended family members. 

A small family graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at New Enoree Baptist Church.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
