Le'nard Cornell Kearney

Mr. Le'nard Cornell Kearney was born October 16, 1957 in Springfield, MA son of the late Clementine Kearney Harris.  He passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Kearney was raised in Henderson, North Carolina.  He attended high school and later college.  He had a career as a Federal Government USDA Food Inspector for over 30 years.  He made his home in Newberry, SC in 1986.

Mr. Kearney was predeceased by his aunts, Athea and Burnice Kearney; mother-in-law, Bessie Bookman Kinard, father-in-law, Willie Lee Kinard, sister-in-law, Jacqueline Faye Robinson.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Kinard Kearney; children, Precious U. Huggins of Columbia, SC, Michael C. Kinard of Newberry, SC, Asianique T. Kearney of Silverstreet, SC and James T. Kearney of Oklahoma, Nebraska; five grandchildren, sister-in-law, Sheryl Kinard; three brothers-in-law, Willie Kinard (Bert), Steve Kinard (Keisha) and James Kinard; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  Public viewing will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  A mask or face covering is required to enter the funeral home.
