Larry James Cunningham

Mr. Larry James Cunningham, age 66, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at his home.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Joe Louis Barber and the late Luetta Bowers Cunningham Byrd.  He attended Full Gospel Church in Columbia, SC.  Mr. Cunningham was a graduate of Chapin High School.  He excelled in basketball and football where he was named All State and All Conference.  He attended S. C. State College on a full scholarship to play football as a tight end.  Mr. Cunningham was employed at Stone Container.

Mr. Cunningham was predeceased by his wife, Claudia Tina Cunningham; sister, Janice Cunningham and brother, Lucius Gary Bowers.

Surviving are a son, Angelo Jude Borelli of Lakeland, FL; step-daughters, Roberta Guider (Michael) of Florida; Audrey Robinson of Columbia, SC; sisters, JoAnn Sims of Chapin, SC; Sharon Johnson of Baltimore, MD; brothers, Randy Bowers of Chapin, SC; Palmer Curry of Irmo, SC; two step-sisters; two step-brothers, one aunt, Veria B. Clark; one uncle, Jonas E. Bowers; special family, Rudolph Bowers, Veronica Cunningham, Cecelia Gallman, Louvenia Bowers, Willie Mayers, Joe Dorley, Jr. and Phillip Dorley. a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will sadly miss him.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Werts Cemetery.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Public viewing will be on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 4-7 at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.
