Joyce Anne Bates

 Ms. Joyce Anne Bates, age 54, died on October 10, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Prosperity, SC to  Mr. Jasper Bates and the late Annie Hawkins Bates.

Surviving includes, her father, Jasper Bates; sisters, Kathy Holman of Little Mountain, SC and Marianne Eleazer of Chapin, SC; brothers, Willis Bates of Irmo, SC, Willie Bates of Little Mountain, SC, Calvin Bates of Columbia, SC, Pelvis Bates of Columbia, SC, Johnnie Ray Bates of Prosperity, SC, Jasper Bates, Jr of Prosperity, SC and Eddie Wicker of Pomaria, SC; 4 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; 4 aunts; 1 uncle; 11 nieces; 4 nephews; a dedicated caretaker for over 5 years, Angela Williams; and a host of relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Newberry Memorial Gardens.  All in attendance, please wear a mask or face covering and practice social distancing.  Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 4-7 at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.
