Johnny Willie Neal

Mr. Johnny Willie Neal, age 64, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022.  He was born on January 22, 1958 in Newberry County, South Carolina to the late Willie James and Daisy Mae Neal. 

Mr. Neal was a member of Bush River Baptist Church.  Johnny worked at Louis Rich for many years as well as other jobs in Newberry County before his retirement from Wal-Mart.  He was a self-taught drummer who would play for numerous events and occasions in Newberry and surrounding areas.

Mr. Neal was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Florence Neal, Thomasina Neal-Griffin-Kirkland, and Alecia Neal Johnson; brother, Freddie Lee Neal.

Survivors include seven brothers, James Heyward, Bennie (Geneva), Jimmie (Kristi), Richard (Debra), and Calvin Bernard Neal (Carissa) all of Newberry, SC; Jacob Neal (Donna) of Upper Marlboro, MD; five sisters, Barbara Neal Swittenburg, Bessie Neal Hill Caldwell (Timothy), Genovia Neal and Pamela Neal Randolph (Curtis) all of Newberry, SC; Reverend Carolyn Neal of Lexington, SC; one aunt, three uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends including his best friend, Tony Price of Newberry, SC.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bush River Baptist Church on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
