John Bernard Booker, Jr.

Mr. John Bernard Booker, Jr., age 54, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Booker was born April 7, 1967 in Newberry, South Carolina, to Elnora Chalmers Booker and Reverend John Bernard Booker, Sr.  He was a member of Old Beaver Dam Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and a member of One Accord Choir.

Surviving are his wife, Debra Ruff Booker; mother, Elnora Chalmers Booker; father, Reverend John Bernard Booker, Sr.(Doris); daughters, Johneka Byrd, Kiana Booker and Diynaste Booker; step-daughter, Nicole Ruff all of Newberry, SC; sisters, Sharon Gray (Curtis) and Roshell Reeder (Horace) of Newberry, SC' Takemma James (James), Bernadette Lane (Antwan) and Sherita Booker all of Laurens, SC; brothers, Dexter Booker of Newberry, SC; Marcus Booker and Jonathan Booker of Laurens, SC; three grandchildren, six aunts, five uncles, devoted cousin and friend, Anthony Chalmers; four brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Old Beaver Dam Baptist Church.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
