Jessie Mae (Dominick) Ruff

Mrs. Jessie Mae Ruff (affectionately known as "Mothership"), age 79, passed away on May 1, 2020 at Springfield Place Nursing Home in Newberry, South Carolina. 

Born in Newberry County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Jesse W. Dominick and the late Thomasina Henderson Dominick.

She was an active member of Roger Williams Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board. She was also a member of the Eastern Star (Passaic, NJ).

Mrs. Ruff was predeceased by her husband, Warren Floyd Ruff, Jr., brothers, John Dominick and Clarence Dominick; sisters, Ida M. Edmonds and Debra Dominick.

Mrs. Ruff is survived by her daughters, Verlesia Dominick-Booth (John) of East Orange, NJ; Sheila Dominick of Atlanta, GA; sons, Harry T. Dominick of Selma, AL; Warren Ruff of Columbia, SC and Jarrod W. Dominick of Clifton, NJ; sisters, Helen Izzard (Josiah) of  Atlanta, GA, Thomasina Suber (James), Fannie J. Dominick and Mamie Burnside (Frank) all of Newberry, SC; and Eula Edwards of Detroit, MI; brother, Marcus D. Dominick (Mattie) of Joanna, SC; and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Private Service of Remembrance for immediate family only will take place.
