James Albert Plater, Sr

Mr. James Albert Plater, Sr. passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Samuel Plater and the late Ethel Brown Plater.  He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving are Velma Stephens, friend; daughters, Briana Warnock of Bellevue, WA and Tara Stephens of Baltimore, MD; sons, Antonio Plater of Fayetteville, NC; James A. Plater, Jr. and Joshua D. Plater both of Silverstreet, SC; John Stephens of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren; sister, Gloria Plater; one son-in-law, a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, September 5, 2020 via zoom at 1:00 PM.
