Mr. Jackie "Cadillac" Crooks was born March 22, 1959 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Jerry Hutcherson and the late Martha Pearl Taylor and reared in the home of his grandmother, Essie Mae Crooks. He passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
Mr. Crooks was a member of Bush River Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Male Choir. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Mr. Crooks was predeceased by two sons, Jackie Marquiese Crooks and Jamar Vashon Crooks, brother-in-law, James Phillip Samuel.
He is survived by sisters, Barbara Russell Samuel of Augusta, GA and Carrie Hartsfield (Malcolm) Philadelphia, PA, two nieces, Colisha Samuel of Augusta, GA. and Nakita Fleming; great-nephews, Justin Fleming and Tyler Ryan, all of Philadelphia, PA, caring friend, Angela Maybin, several aunts and uncles, dedicated cousins, Deacon Willie Hutcherson, Deacon Tony Dudley and Dell Dudley Williams; dedicated friends, Deacon Randy Heller and Melissa Hare, God son, Cartez Smith, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Bush River Baptist Church. All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing. Viewing will be on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
