Ida Mae (Coleman) Williams

Mrs. Ida Mae Coleman Williams was born on July 9, 1946 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Johnson Coleman and the late Jessie Mae Rutherford Coleman.  She passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her home.

She attended Pleasant Grove AME Church and was a former employee of Senior Catering Food Service.

Cherishing her memory are her husband, Sammie Ray Williams; daughter, Ada A. Coleman; sons, Tyrone D. Coleman and Quenton Coleman all of  Joanna, SC; sisters, Lillia Maybin (Calvin) and Dorothy Lassiter both of Newberry, SC; and Nancy Chaplin; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, family members who were reared in the home, Monte' Coleman and devoted great-grandson, Contavious Coleman; devoted friends, Bernice Stephens, Ruby Gallman, Jessie Maybin, Lorraine Wright and Bet Wise; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove A. M. E. Church cemetery. Viewing will be on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  A mask or face covering is required to enter the funeral home.
