Henry Morris Tobias, Jr.

Mr. Henry Morris Tobias, Jr. also known as "Sugar Babe", was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Henry Morris Tobias, Sr. and the late Dalice Gallman Tobias.  He passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

Mr. Tobias was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and a retired truck driver.

Mr. Tobias was predeceased by his wife, Doris Tobias, granddaughter, Courtney Tobias, mother-in-law, Elizabeth Williams and father-in-law, Alonzo Williams.

Mr. Tobias is survived by his daughters, Melody Tobias and Dawn Tobias Bedenbaugh (Gerald) all of Charlotte, NC; sister, Lavern Tobias Byrd (James) of Little Mountain, SC; grandchildren, Germaya Bedenbaugh, Tyler Tobias, Ethan Tobias, Aaron Bedenbaugh and Jessica Bedenbaugh; two aunts, Rose Mayer of Monte Clair, NJ and Barbara Mitchell of Columbia, SC, one brother -in-law, John Earl Williams of Prosperity, SC, one sister-in-law, Geraldine Brown of New York, NY; dedicated friend, Paula Gibbs, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
