Georgia Mae (Chaplin) Brown

Services for Mrs. Georgia Mae Brown, 94, will be conducted on Thursday, August 22 at 12:00 PM at  the Pratt Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late George Chaplin and the late Inez Glasgow Chaplin. 

She was a member of Welch Zion Baptist Church and was in the Women's Aide Society Lodge #7.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Brown; daughter, Sara Johnson; siblings, Johnnie Chaplin, Mable Jeter, Lillian Harp, MaLinda Chaplin, James Chaplin and Daniel Chaplin, Sr.

Surviving are daughters, Barbara Wise(Julius) of Setauket, New York; Renee Treadwell of Newark, New Jersey; sons, Terrance Brown and Marcellus Chaplin, Sr. (Sherry) both of Newberry, SC; sisters, Louvenia Williams of Newberry, SC, Mildred Dyer(Willie A.) of North Carolina and Earnestine Ruff of Bridgeport, Connecticut; sister-in-law, Annie Chaplin; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, special niece/God daughter, Latifah Ruff; special nephew, Elbert Ruff, Jr.; a host of God children, Khalil Dyer and Givins Dyer, A'Nylah Harmon; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gary; Mrs. Dottie Williams, Ms. Betty Jo Hill, Mr. Johnny Brown; and a host of other family and friends.
