George Wallace

Mr. George A. Wallace, age 65, passed away on Tuesday afternoon September 22, 2020 at his home.

Born in Saluda, South Carolina, he was the husband of Mrs. Mary E. Wallace and the son of Mattie Mae Hill and the late Raymond Goulston.  He was a member of Wateree AME Church until his health declined.

Mr. Wallace was predeceased by a son, Samuel D. Padgett and a sister, Gail Coleman.

Surviving are his loving wife Mary E. Wallace to cherish his memory; his mother, Mattie Mae Hill; three daughters, Antonia Gallman (David Vance) of Irmo, SC; MarQuesia Abney (Themas Williams) of the home; Destiny Wallace of North Augusta, SC; one son, Anisley Abney (Rose Mary) of Newberry, SC; two sisters, Cynthia D. Cannon (Gregory); Candy Hill of Laurens, SC; two brothers, Carl Farrow of Greensboro, NC; Shawn Farrow of Saluda, SC; mother-in-law, Vera Mae Gallmon; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; four sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law, devoted friends, Calvin Long and Derrick Gooding.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Wateree AME Church.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
