Freddie Lee Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Freddie Lee Brown, Sr., age 72, will be conducted on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Lower Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Brown passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Frederick Brown and the late Dottie Lee Davenport Brown.  He was a member of Lower Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church. 

Mr. Brown was predeceased by a son, Freddie L. Brown, Jr.; brothers, Horace, Ervin, Evin Brown and Jay Brown, and Eugene Bates; sisters, Mae Alice Wise, Barbara Jean Long and Mary J. Cannon.

Surviving are his wife, Yolanda Ruth W. Brown; daughters, Shirley D. Brown and Mary Catherine Jackson both of Prosperity, SC; Julie (Willie) Cunningham of Winnsboro, SC; Stephanie G. Brown of Saluda, SC; Deanna Gill and Ruby Thomas of Norristown, PA; sons, Bryant Mathis of Oxford, MA; James T. Brown of Prosperity, SC; Step-daughters, Brenda Holley and Joyce Jeffers both of Columbia, SC; step-son, Paul Wise, Jr.; sister, Willie Lee Fant of Joanna, SC; 43 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, special nieces; Sandra Wise and Jettie Payne; devoted sister-in-law, Annie Bell Brown, two sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.
