Obituary

Mrs. Fannie Mae Goggans was born July 14, 1923 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late George W. Turner and the late Sallie E. Clark.  She entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

Mrs. Goggans was a dedicated member of Sweet Spring A. M. E. Church.  She was a longtime employee of Haile's Restaurant.

Mrs. Goggans is survived by her loving daughters, Belinda A. Rikard and Beverly G. Herbert; sisters, Annie Mae Stuart and Emma Lee Turner; grandchildren, Harry A. (Carmen) Goggans, Esco F. Rikard, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Autumn K. Rikard, Carly G. Thomas, Darius A. Goggans, Esco J. Rikard and Jalen A. Goggans; great-great grandson, Easton R. Thomas, devoted niece, Sarah L. Alexander, devoted nephew, Joe K. (Pat) Turner, devoted caregiver/family friend, Beverly Dominick, sister-in-law, Nancy B. Chaplin, a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Viewing will be on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
