Fabian Douglas ("Tre") Ruff, III

Mr. Fabian Douglas Ruff, III, affectionately known as "Tre" by family and friends was born in Lexington, South Carolina on October 19, 2005, to Fabian Douglas Ruff, II and Felecia Caletta Bowers.  He passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his home.

At an early age Tre began attending Providence AME Church with his family.  Tre began participating in youth sports since the age of four with the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission where he played baseball, basketball and football. He also attended Chapin Middle School where he played basketball and football.  He was currently a senior at Chapin High School where he was a member of the Eagles football and basketball teams.  He was well known by all as an outstanding football player.  Tre loved his family, his church and his Chapin Eagles family and community.

Tre was preceeded to Heaven by his sister, Skylan Ruff, great-grandmother, Ella Suber, grandfathers, Fabian Douglas Ruff, Sr. and Sam Suber, Jr., grandmother Rhudene Ruff and great-grandmother, Justine Tobe.

Those who celebrate his life included his loving parents, Felecia Caletta Bowers and Fabian Douglas Ruff, II; brothers, Raekwon Ruff of Newberry, SC and Rahjon Ruff of Chapin, SC, one niece, Alicia Ruff, paternal grandmother, Patricia Suber, maternal grandparents, Michelle Bowers and  Gregory Bowers (Nina), maternal great-grandfather, Calvin Suber, paternal great-grandparents, Mildred Bates and Rev. Jesse Burton (Louise), paternal great-grandmother, Willie Houseal, five aunts, Genene Morton (Cartney), Ashley Ruff, Lisa Houseal, Cecelia Gallman, (Anthony), Luvenia Bowers, three uncles, Gregory Bowers (Kelli), Cedric Ruff (Karen) and Frederick Houseal, special cousin, Aubrie Suber, special friend, Kyrah Rousse, a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00 am at Chapin High School gymnasium.  Burial will follow at Providence AME Church.  Public viewing will be on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Providence AME Church from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
