Dear Kim, James, Imani, and Ebony, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I was unable to attend the services because I'm ill, nothing serious. Elijah was one of the best people I know, which is not surprising because his parents are also some of the best people I know. He was kind, thoughtful, polite, mature, and hardworking. When he was younger, he often came to our house and would say, "Can I please play with your dogs? Can I brush them?" He had such a love for everyone and everything, and such a genuine heart. He was a true country boy, knew all about the plants and wooded areas around our neighborhood, including a mysterious "bamboo forest" that I still haven't found. Over the last few years, James and Elijah have been taking care of our landscaping because my husband Andy is unable to do so. My yard never looked so good as it did whenever they were finished. I'm very grateful to have known this sweet young man, but very sad that he is gone. Elijah, you will be missed, but I believe you are with the Lord and that He is well-pleased with you. Much love and prayers, Lisa Larkin Hollis
