Eddie Mae (Suber) Boyd

Mrs. Eddie Mae Suber "Bae" Boyd, age 82, was born on November 13, 1938 to the late Eddie Suber and the late Pauline Tribble Suber.  Mrs. Eddie Mae entered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at home at 2506 Henry Avenue.

She attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of Women's Home Aide Society #50.

Mrs. Boyd was predeceased by her husband, Johnny E. Boyd, devoted companion, Lambert "Jeff" Fielding, son, James C. Boyd, brother, David Suber, Sr., sisters, Gloria S. Floyd and Dollie E. Suber and great-grandchild, Tyliek Z. Henderson.

Surviving are daughters, Cynthia L. Samuel (Tyrone) of Columbia, SC, Troxie L. Boyd, Margaret J. Boyd, Ida D. Murriell (Greg) and Paula Y. Boyd (Russell)  all of Newberry, SC, sons, Johnny Earl Boyd, of Washington, DC and Lonnie Boyd of Texas; sisters, Lajune S. Gary of Newberry, SC and Johnnie Margaret Maybin (James) of Irmo, SC; brothers, Yancy Suber (Doris) of Takoma Park, MD, Freddie Suber (Marcia) of Washington, DC and Orlando Suber, Sr. (Barbara) of Cheltenham, MD; twenty grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, devoted friend, Jessie Mae Sims, daughter-in-law, Sheila Boyd of Blair, SC, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Newberry Memorial Gardens.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Public viewing will be on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
