Dorothy Ann Jacqueline (Moon) Wise

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Jacqueline Moon Wise, affectionately called "Granny" by her family, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Wise was born March 26, 1945 in Prosperity, South Carolina to the late L. S. Moon and the late Ellen Mayers Moon.  She was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church, director of New Generation Choir and president of Usher Board.  She was also a member of Town Council and an active member of the Prosperity Community.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aide Society.  Mrs. Wise was a former employee of American Fiber and Finishing, Oakland Mill and secretary at Rikard Elementary School.

She was a mother and grandmother to the whole community.  Her singing happy birthday to all she knew will forever be one of her best memories.  Even if it was her first time meeting you, you still were not a stranger.

Mrs. Wise was predeceased by her husband, Euphrates Wise.

Surviving are one son, Darryl Wise of Prosperity, SC; two daughters, Verna Wise of the home; Kizzie Swittenburg of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, devoted friends, Sadie Gallman, Dorothy Means, Joann McKinney-Wise and Kay Coleman; other relatives and friends.  Mrs. Wise will be missed by so many for  being such a "phenomenal woman" by encouraging and influencing others.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
