Dorothy Patricia Sanders

Ms. Dorothy Patricia Sanders was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Lillie Mae Sanders.  She entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Inman Estates in Inman, South Carolina.

Ms. Sanders was a former resident of Newberry Disabilities and Special Needs Board.  Ms. Sanders was a member of Women's Home Aide Society #23.

Ms. Sanders was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Cooper, her step-mother, Lottie Mae Cooper, her sisters, Carrie Mendenhall and Eula Stoudemire.

Ms. Sanders is survived by one sister, Shirley Ann Sanders, three brothers, Raymond "Jake" Sanders (Rosene), James William Sanders (Theresa) all of Newberry, SC, Acie Sanders (Angela) of Columbia, SC; devoted nieces, Sherina Sanders of Columbia, SC, April Jackson (Angela) of Chapin, SC, Eulaneya "Goose" Maybin (Carlos) of Newberry, SC, Elondra "Breecy" Simpson, (Alisea) of Prosperity, SC and Jaden "Jae" Alexander of Orangeburg, SC; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Singley and Diane Rauch of Prosperity, SC, a number of other relatives and friends. She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Mt. Moriah AME Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
