Dewalt O. Dean, Sr.

Mr. Dewalt O"Neal Dean, Sr. was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Duane W. Dean, Sr. and the late Gertrude Dewalt Dean.  He entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Dean attended Newberry County Public Schools.

Mr. Dean was predeceased by a sisters, Janice Dean Gallman and Glennita Dean.

Mr. Dean is survived by his children, Kaneki Gray of Newberry, SC, Tremayne Cunningham of Batesburg-Leesville, SC, Carl Lever, Dewalt O'Neal Dean, Jr. and Carolyn Dean all of North Carolina; sister, Annette Hentz, brother, Duane W. Dean, Jr. (Tonya) all of Newberry, SC, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  Public viewing will be on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
