D. L. Williams

Mr. D.L. Williams passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home in Society Hill, South Carolina. He was born in Newberry County on June 3, 1940 to the late James Williams and the late Queenette Bowers Williams.

Mr. Williams attended Gallman High School. Following which, he began his career as a truck driver for Senn Trucking Company, he branched out on his own as a self employed truck driver.

Surviving are daughters, Cheryl Counts (Ronald) of Newberry, SC; Joyce Wallace of Winter Springs, FL; Carolyn Winter (Jay) of Lemoore, CA; and Dorothy Wicker of Newberry, SC; sons, Kenneth Williams (Joyce) of Clovis, CA; David Williams (Carolyn) of Hopkins, SC; John Williams of Newberry, SC; sister, Barbara Jackson of Norristown, PA; brothers, James Williams, Jr. of Norristown, PA; Charles Richard Williams of Irmo, SC; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who will miss him dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Newberry Memorial Gardens.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.  Viewing will be on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
