Mr. Collier Caldwell, Jr. was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Collier Caldwell, Sr. and the late Sarah Thomasina Maffett Caldwell. He passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at NHC Healthcare Laurens.
Mr. Caldwell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he loved to attend Bible Study.
Mr. Caldwell was predeceased by his son, Michael McKinsley Mathis.
He is survived by a daughter, Nicholette Wise; siblings, Joe Patricia Adams of Newberry, SC, Betty Jo Goodwin of Blair, SC, Carol Caldwell, Joyce (Steven) Wise), Mary Caldwell, Thomas (Pamela) Caldwell, Erica (Lewis) Caldwell, David (Jackquelin) Caldwell, Timothy Caldwell, Connie (Richard) Jones all of Newberry, SC, Carter Smith, Clinton, SC, Lancy (Lisa) Smith Silverstreet, SC, Kenneth Smith, Newberry, SC grandchildren, Adrienne Wise, Shyquarn Wise, Zaiden Black, McKinsley Grace Mathis, Ibreyon Wright all of Newberry, SC, Kruz Michael Brown, Spartanburg, SC, Shyanne Joiner and Izavion Crumpton both of Newberry, SC, special friend, Darlene Harmon of Newberry, SC, two aunts, one uncle, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
