Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Mae Williams affectionately known as "Bunch", will be conducted on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM at St. Marks AME Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Mrs. Bonnie Mae passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at her home in Pomaria, SC.  She was born on October 3, 1920 in Newberry County, to the late Marie Edwards and was raised by Ida and Willis Cannon. 

 

Mrs. Bonnie Mae was a faithful and dedicated  member of St. Marks AME Church of Pomaria, SC, where she was a member of the Missionary Society.  The Lay Organization honored her as the Mother of the Church for all of her encouraging words and love for everyone.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aid Society #46.  Mrs. Bonnie Mae retired from Louis Rich of Newberry. 

 

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ernest Williams, two sons, Bobby Ray Williams, John Henry Williams, daughter, Phyllis Dale Douglas, son-in law, Homer Douglas Jr., two sisters and four brothers. 

 

Surviving are her loving children, Clyde (Earlene) Williams of Pomaria, SC; Linda Chapman of Pomaria, SC; Ebbie King of Prosperity, SC; Ida Marie of Pomaria, SC; Minnie (Larry) Richardson of Columbia SC; Ricky (Lois) Williams of Pomaria, SC; Tessie Mendenhall of Pomaria, SC; Randy (Sharon) Williams of the home;  two daughters-in-law, Lillie C. Williams and Barbara Jean Williams of Pomaria, SC; thirty-nine grandchildren,  ninety-five great grandchildren and twenty one great-great grandchildren; one brother,  Clifford Edwards and one sister, Claudine Williams; dedicated cousin, Kenny Paul Lyles and a host of relatives and friends.
