Obituary

Mr. Billy Earl Robinson was born June 23, 1946, to the late James Eddie Robinson, Sr. and the late Stevie Lucille Moon Robinson.  He passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Mr. Robinson was a member of Bethlehem Baptist church and a Vietnam veteran.  He was a graduate of Gallman High School and Piedmont Technical College.

Mr. Robinson was predeceased by siblings, James Eddie Robinson, Jr., John Willie Robinson, Bennie Robinson,  Otis Robinson, Arthur Robinson and Luevone Sims, mother-in-law, Janette C. Hailstock and father-in-law, Willie Hailstock, Jr.

Cherishing is memory are his wife, Jacquelyn Y. Robinson, daughter, Sonya Moon-Cathcart (Demorris), Columbia, SC, Terence D. Taylor (Leosha) Atlanta, GA and Roderic L. Robinson (Tanisha Moore) of the home; siblings, Lee Grant Robinson (Margie), Norfolk, VA, Riley Robins, Lusby, MD, Linda A. Robinson, Lusby, MD, Betty J. Wilson, Columbia, SC and Judi Sami (Laura Singley), Newberry, SC, nine grandchildren including two special grandsons, K. T. and K. J. Robinson, two great-grandchildren, special family friend, Kamika Wilson, a host of nieces and nephews including devoted nephew, John Robinson, Jr., Honorary daughter, Marie Jackson-Gilyard (Brandon), Irmo, SC, devoted friend/brother, Tyrone Pitts, devoted friends, Alex Scarborough and Wayne K. Pratt, Sr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.  Burial will be on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC  29229.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
