Betty Louise (Dawkins) Good

Mrs. Betty Louise Good, age 89, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Good was born in Gaffney, South Carolina to the late Bessie and Worth Dawkins.  Her life journey took her to Washington, DC, Spartanburg, SC and Newberry, SC where she remained unto the Lord called her home.  Mrs. Good was a member of Old Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Mrs. Good was pre`deceased by brothers, Thomas Dawkins and L. T. Dawkins both of Washington, SC, sisters, Lucille Dawkins, Bessie Evelena Wood of Washington, DC and Minnie Mae Davis of Newberry, SC; granddaughter, Bianca Wicker of Newberry, SC.

Surviving are her children, Rita Good, Jimmy Good (Debra), Berry Good, Jr. (Roxanne), Janice Wicker (Leon); sister, Sarah Dawkins of Chapin, SC; brothers, Worth Lee Dawkins of Seat Pleasant, MD, Robert Dawkins (Lucille) of Bridgeton, NJ, Gainwell Dawkins (Estell) of Temple Hills, MD; fourteen grandchildren, Jameelah Davis, Ritivia, Marcal, Jimmice, Rhonda and Claresha Good, Jamarcus and Alexis Wicker, Delicia, Asaris and Shaquil Good, C. J. Clark, Bernizyah and Kingston Good, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will truly miss her.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Old Beaver Dam Baptist Church.   All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
