Azalee (Sims) Gray

Mrs. Azalee Sims Gray, age 78, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Sims and the late Mary Griffin Sims.

Mrs. Gray was predeceased by her husband Heyward Eugene Gray, Jr.

Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth G. Mendenhall of Columbia, SC; Patricia G. Robinson and Cathy J. Gray of Newberry, SC; one sister, Mary Nell Caldwell of Newberry, SC; grandsons, Rodney Rikard of Columbia, SC; Richard Rikard, III, Kerick Gray, Michael R. Miller and Kevis Burton all of Newberry, SC;  great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Juanita Nance and Polly Gray both of Newberry, SC; nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Werts Cemetery.  The family request those in attendance to wear a mask or face covering and practice social distancing.
