Alfred Joey " Big Joe" Davenport

Alfred Joey Davenport known to his friends affectionately as “Big Joe” departed this earthly life on October 22, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Born in Newberry County, he was the son of Annette S. Davenport and late A. J. Davenport.

Joey was predeceased by his brother Dion Davenport.

 Surviving to cherish his memories are his mother Annette S. Davenport; two daughters, Macie and Mallorie Davenport of Columbia, South Carolina; one brother, Jessica Boyd and one sister, Margaret Davis of Newberry, South Carolina;  two aunts, Mary A. Singley of Prosperity South Carolina and Deloris Stephens of Newberry, South Carolina.; one uncle, John Earl Singley of Prosperity South Carolina, one great aunt, Allean Glasgow; two great uncles, Raymond Wise and Wilbert Gallman; four nieces, four nephews, a large number of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Viewing will be on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 4-7 at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday 28, 2020 at 1:00 at pm at Hannah AME Church. All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
