Alberta (Young) Eichelberger

Mrs. Alberta Eichelberger, age 87, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Mrs. Eichelberger was the daughter of the late Leo Neal Young and the late Bertha Lee Worthy Young.  She was an active member of Metropolitan Baptist Church a member of the Mass Choir, the Pastor's Aide, Assistant Secretary and treasurer for the Missionary.  Mrs. Eichelberger was also a member of the Golden Ministries and the Breakfast Club.

Mrs. Eichelberger was a humble and mild mannered woman that loved helping people.  She loved the Lord and was always willing to offer a helping hand.  She enjoyed traveling by going on trips and cruises with the church and senior groups.  Mrs. Eichelberger retired from private nursing.

Surviving are one sister, Betty Young Salamone and her husband Robert; special niece, Sonya Young Bellamy; great-nephew, Jerome Smith, III all of Philadelphia, PA; long-time friend, Velma Stephens of Silverstreet, SC; family friend, Andrena Hucks of Columbia, SC; special friends, Lillian Ruff, Bernice Camp, Phyllis Sims, Mary Suber and Mary Abdussabur.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Metropolitan Baptist Church cemetery.  All in attendance please wear a mask or face covering and practice social distancing. Public viewing Monday, September 14, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
