Wesley Chaplin

Funeral services for Mr. Wesley Chaplin, age 79, will be conducted on Sunday June 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Wesley passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at White Oak Manor-Newberry.

Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Wes Chaplin and the late Daisy Mae Chick Chaplin.  He was a retired logger.

Mr. Chaplin was predeceased by his wife, Euneatha Gray Chaplin and brother, James Edwin Chaplin.

Surviving are daughters, KyShon Chaplin-Dewalt (Gregory); Yolanda Williams-Davenport (Chris); Tyechia Austin and Denise Gallman (Ced) all of Newberry, SC; sons, Jimmy Smith of Washington, DC; Corwyn Chaplin (Stacie) of Fort Lawn, SC; Juan Chaplin (Tameka) of Whitmire, SC; sisters, Essie Savoy of Chapin, SC; Emily Marie Brooks, Barbara Brooks and Virginia Johnson (Eugene) all of Newberry, SC; 25 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-laws, Juanita Nance, Polly Gray,  Azalee Gray and Catherine Young Chaplin,  other relatives and friends.
