Wallace Olander Davis

Funeral services for Mr. Wallace Olander Davis, known by "Lan" to family and friends, will be conducted on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shiloh AME Church.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Mr. Davis passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Palmetto Health Baptist.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of Pearlean Wilson Davis and the late Morris Davis.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Righteous Church.  Mr. Davis was employed with International Paper for over twenty years and a former employee of Kunkle Tire.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Olanjuwon A. Lukie of Newberry, SC; Pisces Bates of Charleston, SC; five sisters, Mattie Sims of Clinton, SC; Bertha (Randolph) Bowers of Pomaria, SC; Fay (LaDell) Henley of Prosperity, SC; Elizabeth Davis of Newberry, SC; Zonia (Shunpreece) Cureton of Columbia, SC; six brothers, Lamont (Zina) Davis, James (Jennifer) Davis and Ray (Consongia) Davis all of Newberry, SC; Duran (Kawana ) Davis of Huntsville, AL; Edward Davis and Derrick (Tyneshia) Davis all of Newberry, SC; six aunts, five uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
