To the Family ,
I would like to express how sorry to hear of your loss.
It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your loved one is up in heaven.
The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. The Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions.
What would it take to convince you that this is a sure hope? To believe in a promise, you would need to be certain that the one making the promise is both willing and able to fulfill it. Who, then, is it that promises that the dead will live again?
Jesus Christ boldly promised: “Just as the Father raises the dead up and makes them alive, so the Son also makes those alive whom he wants to. Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:21, 28, 29) Yes, Jesus Christ promised that millions now dead will live again on this earth and have the prospect of remaining on it forever under peaceful, paradisaic conditions. (Luke 23:43; John 3:16; 17:3; compare Psalm 37:29 and Matthew 5:5.) Since Jesus made the promise, it is safe to assume that he is willing to fulfill it.
These promises have consoled me when my father died. Hopefully, they can provide some hope and comfort to your family.

May the family of Vera E. Sligh find comfort in knowing that Vera is resting in the arms of Jesus. Vera has joined that caravan that has moved to a higher relm where there is peace far beyond our imagination. She entered that peace with a unfaultering trust in the most High God.

Dear Family, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. My sincere condolences to you. May you think of the many beautiful memories that you shared with Mrs. Vera, and cherish those precious moments. May the God of all comfort caress your heart with his living promise to one day reunite you together again in the future paradise mentioned at Revelation 21: 4,5. Our Dear Heavenly Father Jehovah (Psalms 83:18 )knows the many tears you cry and he will sustain you if you let him. I was thinking of you and hoping that you can find comfort during this difficult time.

Sadden to read of the loss of Vera. Please know that others are thinking of your family. Though I know this is a difficult time for you, my hope is that you will be comforted from God's inspired word the Bible. At John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21: 3,4 God gives hope of a future resurrection and the complete elimination of death, pain and mourning. Under Jesus' kingdom rule we have this and much more to look forward to. Please accept my deepest condolences. For more scriptural encouragement please visit www.jw.org.
