Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Coleman, will be conducted on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

Mr. Coleman passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born July 7, 1944, in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Gladys Coleman and the late David Coleman.

He was a member of Lower Mount Olive A.M.E. Church.

Thomas worked at the Groovy Pub and then a Glassblowing Facility while in Jersey. He came to Newberry, South Carolina and started working at Louis Rich. Shortly after that he went into business for himself by having a Lawn Care Business. He was a very caring and joyous man, who was very much loved by his wife, siblings, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He and his wife Barbara Coleman shared a very special bond, and he loved her dearly.

Thomas was a United States Marine Corps Veteran; He fought in the Vietnam War.

He was pre-deceased son ; Thomas Marc Coleman, brother; Charles Coleman,

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious memories are his wife ; Barbara Coleman of the home, sons, Michael Washington of Georgia, Marvin Washington, Corey Townes of South Jersey, Ikeem Townes of Washington D.C. , and Brandon Tobe of Prosperity, S.C. Daughter; Lawanda Beals (Thomas Beals). Sisters, Gladys Brown (Mr. Brown) all of New Jersey. Brothers; Zaid Annahij, Ronald Coleman, and Joseph Coleman, Daughter -in-law Cynthia Coleman; twelve grandchildren, Ahwell Wasington Marcus Coleman Tyraiq Beals, Tyler Beals, Kiyasia Whetstone, Crystal Burell, Nijayah Washington, Nakia Washington, Shibresha Tobe, Brandon Tobe Jr. , Kayla Tobe, BranDarius Tobe, and Akela Tobe. Five Great grandchildren, Cylienna Nathan, Chaniece Nathan, Christopher Nathan, and two unborn.; and other relatives and friends.
