Sara Louise Baxter

Funeral services for Ms. Sara Louise Baxter, age 56, will be conducted on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Baxter entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Prisma Health Richland.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of Barbara Ann Sligh and the late Robert Baxter, Sr.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Gospel Choir.  Ms. Baxter was a graduate of Newberry High School class of 1982 and received an Associate Degree from Remington College.  She was a former employee of J. F. Hawkins Nursing Center.

Surviving are her mother, Barbara Ann Sligh; daughter, Tameka D. Miller, son, Gregory Miller, II all of Newberry, SC; sisters, Gloria Sligh of Baltimore, MD; Lenora Camper (Marcus) of Egg Harbor, NJ; Latisha Johnson of Newberry, SC; brothers, Eddie Baxter (Beverly) of Irmo, SC; Robert Baxter, Jr. (Shell) of Blair, SC; Johnny Sligh (Torey); three grandchildren, An'Taji N. Miller of Columbia, SC; Anyla D. and Aniyah J. Moore of the home; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins including devoted cousin, Mary Martin; best friend, Mitzi Ruff, God children, LaTorie Quattlebaum Canty and Trinity Palmore who will miss Sara but rejoicing that she is resting in the arms of the Lord.
