Ruth Brown Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Carter Brown, age 73, will be conducted on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. James AME Church, Pomaria, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Brown passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her home. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Beamon Carter, Sr. and the late Surfina Carter. She was a member of St. James AME Church where she was President of the Missionary Society and a member of the choir.
Mrs. Brown was predeceased by brothers, Thomas Carter, Beamon Carter, Jr. and Roger Carter.
Surviving are her husband, Marion E. Brown of the home; daughter, Mindi Ruth Brown of Columbia, SC; sister, Donna V. Maybin (Joe Sr); brother Brisco Carter, Sr. (Carrie) all of Newberry, SC; one grandchild, two aunts, a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home of Brisco & Carrie Carter 4462 Dennis Dairy Road, Newberry, SC.
