Orlando Ciclo Watkis, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Orlando C. Watkis, Jr., age 35, will be conducted on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Watkis departed his life on September 18, 2017 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.  He was the son of Eugene and Sharon Watkis-Coleman and the late Orlando C. Watkis, Sr.

He attended Miller Chapel AME Church in Newberry, SC where he was a musician for two years.  He was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High class of 2000.  Mr. Watkis resided in Paducha, Kentucky where he was the owner of Auto Paint and Body Shop and Repair.  He sold automobiles and motorcycles.  Orlando was better known as coach O. He was a coach for Little League teams in all sports, a mentor. He also volunteered for PTO at McNabb Elementary School. Mr. Watkis was a member of the ISSR Motor Club in Paducha, Kentucky. 

Surviving are his sons, Master Omarion T. Watkis of Newberry, SC; Master Chandler O. Watkis of Paducah, Kentucky; mother, Mrs. Sharon Watkis-Coleman; father,Mr. Eugene Coleman, Jr; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Olgesby of Newberry, SC; three brothers, Mr. Lewis Boyd (Jovonna) of Paducah, Kentucky;  Mr. Steve Coleman (Patricia) of Greenwood, SC; Mr. Trevor Gibson of Laurens; two sisters, Mrs. Tammie Epps (Reggie) of Columbia, SC; Ms. Tiffany Gibson of Newberry, SC; two uncles, Mr. Mark L. Olgesby (Valerie) of Queens, NY; Mr. Ray Watkis (Cassandra) of Brooklyn, NY; great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Olgesby, 1418 Harris Street, Newberry, SC.
