Nancy (Caldwell) McMorris

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Caldwell McMorris, age 77, will be conducted on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Bush River Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. McMorris passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Lexington Medical Center.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late George B. Caldwell and the late Beulah Trapp Caldwell. 

Mrs. McMorris was a faithful member of Bush River Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Usher Board, Gospel Choir and Superintendent of the Sunday School.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aid Society #38.  Mrs. McMorris was a graduate of Gallman High School and she retired from the School District of Newberry County.

Mrs. McMorris was predeceased by a son, Bryant Keith McMorris; two sisters, Edna Toland and Alice Margaret Williams; sister-in-law, Sara F. Caldwell and brother-in-law, Charles Friend.

 Surviving are daughters, Kim Yarborough of the home; Karen McMorris Price of Virginia; sisters, Catherine Hickman (Burl) of Boerne, TX; Beulah Jennings (Samuel) of Cordova, SC; Elizabeth Caldwell of Bowie, MD; brothers, Robert T. Caldwell of Mitchellville, MD; George B. Caldwell (Netta) of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren, Chelsea McMorris of Newberry, SC, Marcus McMorris of Simpsonville, SC, Lonette McMorris of Charlotte, NC, D'Andre Price of Virginia, Bethany Jones and Braylon Jones both raised in the home; devoted daughter-in-law, Constance McMorris of Newberry, SC; one aunt, Rozelle Caldwell of Newberry, SC; special cousins, Neddra Cannon and Geraldine Miller; brother-in-law, Gary Toland of Newberry, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family who will miss her greatly.
