Maudie Bee (Coleman) Swittenburg

Funeral services for Mrs. Maudie Bee Swittenburg, age 82, will be conducted on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Mrs. Swittenburg passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late George B. Coleman and the late Mildred Hill Coleman.  She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she was baptized at an early age.  She attended Drayton Street School.  Mrs. Swittenburg was employed at Hale's Restuarant for 40 years.

Mrs. Swittenburg was predeceased by an aunt, Eula Mae Hill.

Surviving are one daughter, Diana Coleman; two sons, Eddie Coleman and Horace Swittenburg; two granddaughters reared in the home, Tina Coleman and Twiana Cromer; grandson reared in the home, Larry Davenport; one great-grandson reared in the home, Jahvious Cromer; one sister-in-law, Edith Swittenburg, caregiver, Megan Hollwell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
