Mattie P. (Davis) Sims

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Pearlean Sims, age 62, will be conducted on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Shiloh AME Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Sims passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Pearlean Suber Davis and the late Mr. Morris Davis.  She was a member of Zion Hopewell Baptist.

Mrs. Sims was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Watson and a brother, Wallace Davis.

Surviving are her husband, William Sims; two daughters, Shenice Monique Sims and Tasha LaShawn Sims; four sons, William Lamont Davis, Marcus Lathan Sims, Tyrell Maurice Sims and Reginald Jamar Sims all of Clinton, SC; sisters, Bertha Bowers (Randolph) of Pomaria, SC; Fay Henley (LaDell) of Prosperity, SC; Mary Davis of Newberry, SC; LaZonia Curenton (Shunpre) of Columbia, SC; Morris Davis, Jr. (Zina) ; James Davis (Jennifer); Matthew Davis (Cassandra) and Harold Davis all of Newberry, SC; Leonard Davis (Kawana) of Alabama; Derrick Davis (Tyneshia) of Newberry, SC; twelve grandchildren, aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends at 105 E. Bluford Street, Clinton, SC.
