Lillie Mae (Crooks) Washington

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae Washington, age 84, will be conducted on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM at New Enoree Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Mrs. Washington passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018.  Born in Pomaria, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Crooks and the late Alberta Suber Crooks.  She was a member of New Enoree Baptist Church where she served as an Usher.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aide Society #7.  Mrs. Washington retired from the Department of Social Services as a Social Worker.

Mrs. Washington was predeceased by her husband, Broadus Washington.

Surviving are her children, Shirley Jean (Jimmy) Suber, Carolyn Hodges and Anthony (Denise) Washington all of Newberry, SC; two sisters, Mary Lee Love of Detroit, MI. and Doris (Rev. Nura Ray) Matthews of Newberry, SC; one brother, Robert "Jack" (Mildred) Crooks of Newberry, SC; seven grandchildren, Atlandus Suber, Amishi McMorris, Reggie Davis, Stearlin Hodges, Jacinda White, Jarvis Hodges and Alex Washington; uncle, James Suber; brother-in-law, Zack Washington; other relatives and friends.
