Josephine Longshore

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Workman Longshore, age 90, affectionately known to some as "Phine", will be conducted on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Longshore passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Ezekiel Workman.  She was an active member of the Church of Christ and Women Home Aid Society #92.  Mrs. Longshore served as a lead Mother for the March of Dime Drive for the Helena Community. She worked as a Nurse Assistant at J. F. Hawkins Nursing and Newberry Textile Mill.

Mrs. Longshore was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Longshore, two sisters, three brothers, sons, Gene and Neal Workman.

Surviving are one son, Oliver, Workman (Kathy) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Jerolean Bates of Newberry, SC; brother, Thomas Dudley (Diane) of Newberry, SC; daughters-in-law, Patsy Workman of Newberry, SC; Dorothy Workman of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, special family friend, Horace Maybin; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
