Josephine Clanton

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine B. Clanton, age 88, will be conducted on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Zion Baptist Church in Littleton, NC.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7 at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Clanton passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Doriece McMorris (Harold).  Born in Littleton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Ray Vincent and the late Maria Eaton Vincent.  She was a member of Pleasant Zion Baptist Church where she was the former Sunday School secretary and Financial Secretary, a member of the church choir and  the Missionary Board.

Mrs. Clanton was predeceased by her husband,  Joe Clanton.

Surviving are her daughter, Doriece Clanton McMorris (Harold) of Newberry, SC; sons, Joe Elton Clanton of Littleton, NC; Stevie Jones (Lee Ann) of El Paso, TX; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Harold and Doriece McMorris, 566 Bush River Road, Newberry, SC.
