Johnson Coleman, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Johnson "Buddy" Coleman, Jr., age 69, will be conducted on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove A. M. E. Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Coleman passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.  Born in Newberry, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Johnson Coleman, Sr. and the late Jessie Mae Rutherford.  He was a member of Pleasant Grove A. M. E. Church and a retired employee of International Paper.

Mr. Coleman was predeceased by a daughter, Malessia Suber; sisters, Sarah Coleman, Carrie Lee Coleman and Juanita Hare; brother, Henry Lee Coleman.

Surviving are his devoted companion of 25 years, Shirley Alexander; daughters, Eureka Bates of Atlanta, GA; Princess Penny and  Claudette Cannon both of Newberry, SC; step-daughter, Rhonda Sims (Ramon); Sons, Victor Penney of Newberry, SC; Jaylin Alexander of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Georgia Mae Caldwell(James), Ida Mae Williams (Sammie) of Joanna, SC; Lillia Maybin (Calvin Davis), Elouise Coleman and Dorothy Lassiter; brother, Roger Coleman all of  Newberry, SC; fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; God daughter, Essie Lindsay; devoted friends, Harold Goudelock and Solomon Nelson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
