John Lark, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. John Lark, III will be conducted on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Elisha AME Church cemetery.

Mr. Lark passed away on March 19,2017 in Seymour, CT.  Born in Newberry, South Carolina, he was the son of the late John "Cat" Lark, Jr. and the late Florence R. Lark.  He graduated from Gallman High School and served his country in the Vietnam War.

Mr. Lark was predeceased by his wife Shirley of over 40 years; brothers, Willie Earl and Paul Edward Lark; brother-in-law, Robert L. Mozee.

Surviving are two children, Harold Lark, Sr. of Fairfield, CT; Traci Lark (Trevor) of Bridgeport, CT; five grandsons, Derrick Edwards, Darold E. Lark, Drew D. Diaz, Gilbert C. Gordon, III and Harold Lark, Jr; three great-grandchildren, Nashawn Edwards, Iyanna M. R. Gordon and Gilbert C. Gordon, IV all of Fairfield, CT; brothers, Charles A. Lark (Nettie) of Charlotte, NC; James O. Lark (Jeanette) of Newberry, SC; Michael L. Lark of Washington, DC; sisters, Margaret W. Mozee of Newberry, SC; Juanita Chaplin (Emmanuel) of Suitland, MD; Dr. Malikah S. Ambolley of Atlanta, GA; Ruby R. Workman of Washington, DC; sister-in-law, Betty J. Lark of Columbia, SC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
