John Henry Davenport

Funeral services for Mr. John Henry "Dutt" Davenport, age 71, will be conducted on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Little River Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Davenport passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at National Healthcare-Clinton, SC.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Clarence Davenport and the late Henrietta Washington Davenport.  Mr. Davenport was a member of Little River Baptist Church where he was a member of the Little River Baptist Singers.

Surviving are his wife, Louise Ruff Griffin; children, Francenia Hunter, Alisa Hunter and Cassandra Suber of Newberry, SC; Angel Davenport of Greenwood, SC; Terresa ( Cedric) Wilson of W. Columbia, SC; Dorothy Graham of Newberry, SC; Christie Hair (Shawn) of Columbia, SC; Kysha Griffin and Tynika Griffin; John Davenport and James Davenport (Sheila) all of Newberry, SC; Darryl, Michael and Corey Ruff all of Newberry, SC; Johnnie Griffin; sisters, Viola Pitts, Henrietta ( Leroy) Harmon and Carolyn Williams; brothers, Harry Davenport (Carolyn) and Freddie Davenport (Kristy) all of Newberry, SC; 24 grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
